Apellate Practice

We prepare appeals, appellate briefs, and writs of certiorari for both the Puerto Rico Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court, in all types of civil cases and administrative revisions. We work either directly with the client or in collaboration with the attorney who tried the case.

Civil Litigation

We engage in the trial litigation of all civil cases comprised in our areas of practice either as Plaintiffs or Defendants at both federal and local courts.

Collections

Successful debt collection depends on assertiveness and timing. Our experience is that collection cases must be handled with agility. This has proven to be extremely beneficial for the preparation of the case and in some cases, makes it unnecessary to file a court proceeding. We try cases on behalf of debtors just as well.

Contracts

We prepare all sorts of private contracts customized to your particular need or situation. We also offer our advice in revising any private contract and/or public document for any contracting or signing party.

Inheritance Law

We are accustomed to handle cases regarding the adjudication, division and liquidation of assets and debts of an inheritance. We can help you claim your participation in an inheritance or draft a will according to your specifications.

Property Regimes

Throughout our years of practice we have tried a significant number of cases involving property regimes under both the Controlled Access Law, 23 L.P.R.A. sec. 64 et seq and the recently amended Horizontal Property Law, 31 L.P.R.A. sec. 1291 et seq., which regulate the communal ownership of apartment complexes and residential developments. We offer our counsel and support to any of the parties with interest: the Property Owner, the Board of Directors or the Associations, in all related matters, except for debt collection of property regimes.
